With the days ticking down to Christmas, shops are busy with consumers eager to pick up the hottest toys.
Stores at the Santa Maria Town Center mall say their big sellers have included Disney Frozen items, L.O.L. Surprise! dolls, Monopoly, brain teaser games, and Dragon Ball Z figurines.
"Our L.O.L.s - this one is a Hairgoals. We also have the bigger ones and the smaller ones and then we have our Frozen collection here that's also been very popular," said Clara Juarez, assistant store manager at Justice.
CNBC reports that brands including Fortnite, Pokemon, Baby Shark, and Marvel have also been among the top-selling items.
The National Retail Federation (NRF) predicts that consumers will spend an average of $1,047 this holiday season, about 4 percent more than last year. That includes gifts, food and decorations, and non-gift purchases that take advantage of holiday sales.
An NRF survey found that gift cards are the most popular item on consumers' wish lists, followed by clothing and accessories, books/movies/music/video games, electronics, and home decor.
