The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is responding to a fire in the Gaviota area on Highway 1 off the Mariposa Reina off-ramp.
At 8:01 p.m., a full vegetation response unit responded to the fire.
In an attempt to stop the fire, train traffic has been stopped and traffic controls are in place.
Report are that the vegetation fire was about a quarter-acre in size upon response.
