The north and southbound Gaviota Roadside Rest Areas along Highway 101 in Santa Barbara County will close starting July 1.
According to the California Department of Transportation, the closures are due to a lack of available water needed to operate the facilities.
The closures are expected to last until October 1. Officials are asking travelers to plan accordingly.
