A woman accused of attempted murder outside a bowling alley in Goleta earlier this month is back in the county and scheduled to appear in court Monday, Dec. 23.
Theresa Colosi, 55, was arrested in Montana after the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says she fled California in a private plane.
Sheriff's officials say she assaulted a woman who was supervising a court-ordered visit between Colosi and her 12-year-old son, striking the woman in the head several times with a metal object. Officials say Colosi then ran to her car and drove to the Lompoc Airport where she took the private flight to Montana.
Investigators say that prior to incident, Colosi gave away her belongings, withdrew $900,000 from her bank account and chartered a flight with fictitious names for herself, her son, and her dog.
Sheriff's officials say detectives returned from Montana with Colosi last week. She is currently being held at the Santa Barbara County Jail without bail.
