The Santa Maria Country Club hosted a Golf Tournament Friday to support families of children with cancer.
The Golfing for Little Heroes Tournament and Auction benefits Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation (TBCF). A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Children's Miracle Network at Cottage Children's Medical Center.
Laura and Ronnie DeBrum, whose daughter Faith battled cancer and received services from TBCF, hosted the event.
Faith was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at 11 years old in 2015. While she was receiving chemotherapy treatment, TBCF sent her on a surprise trip to meet the judge's of NBC's television series "The Voice."
In late 2015, Faith became cancer free and is now an advocate for children battling cancer.
An awards ceremony was held after the tournament along with a dinner and silent auction.
Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization that relies on community donations to provide financial, educational and emotional support to families with children battling cancer in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
TBCF says they will provide support for 190 families in 2019.
