The Women’s Legacy Fund had their annual luncheon Thursday to raise funds for women and girls across San Luis Obispo County.

More than 720 men and women attended the luncheon to celebrate this year’s grant recipients and to talk about the future of the non-profit.

Money raised will fund several grants over the next two years that will be given to various non-profits in San Luis Obispo County.

“So for example, People's Self-Help is receiving funding to support their girls programs for after-school activities and to help girls get ready to apply and go to college,” said CEO of the Community Foundation, Heidi McPherson.

Grants from the Women’s Legacy Foundation also support programs that help women who have been in abusive relationships and mental health programs for high school girls.
