Twenty Grover Beach businesses are set to receive up to $10,000 of financial assistance to counter the economic impact of COVID-19.

The City of Grover Beach's microgrant program is meant to help businesses pay employee salaries, commercial rent, purchase personal protective equipment and make additional modifications necessary to operate safely.

The following local businesses will receive a grant:

  • 8575 Perfetto Caffe
  • Bunn Thai Bistro
  • Central Coast Beauties
  • Coastal Business Distribution
  • Coles Linen and Laundry
  • Epic Entertainment
  • First Class Seconds
  • Fuego
  • Grand Inspirations Home
  • Heaven Tea Leaf and Foot Spa
  • Hey Gorgeous Formal Wear
  • Let's Knit
  • Nails By Jennifer
  • Nan's Pre-Owned Books
  • Pacific Flips
  • Protective Law Corporation
  • Sloco Data, Inc
  • Studio 805 Salon
  • Voler Inc
  • WhiteCrest Smart Dentistry

Each business receiving a grant was required to submit a self-certification form issued by San Luis Obispo County. The form verifies the business is safely reopening in congruence with public health guidelines.

The microgrant program is funded by $100,000 in SB 1090 funds and $50,000 in one-time general funds allotted by the Grover Beach City Council's Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget.

"These microgrants will help Grover Beach businesses that were impacted by COVID-19 to re-open and generate economic activity once again," said Jeff Lee, Grover Beach Mayor. "We will continue to work with the Chamber on these types of assistance programs to ensure that resources are available to our resilient and diverse business community."
