The City of Grover Beach announced a new activity to celebrate the holiday season.
The city's inaugural Thanksgiving Thankfulness Contest looks to bring together the Grover Beach community safely.
"While we understand that COVID-19 has made for a challenging year, Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to take a step back and recognize the positive in our lives," Grover Beach Mayor Jeff Lee said in a statement. "I encourage our community to take a moment and let us know what they are thankful for through our inaugural Thanksgiving Thankfulness Contest."
Grover Beach residents can share what they're thankful for with the city's Parks and Recreation Department by 5 p.m. Nov. 25.
Residents can send an email to gbparks@groverbeach.org with photos to be featured on the city's social media pages. Three winners will be announced Nov. 25.
The grand prize is a dinner for four from The Spoon Trade. Second- and third-placed winners will receive a Thanksgiving dessert.
