Voters in Guadalupe meet with local leaders and politicians to learn more about what to expect for the upcoming primary elections.

Local voters learned about Santa Barbara County initiatives at the "Valuing all Voices for Our Future" event at the Beatitude House.

Santa Barbara County Supervisor Joan Hartmann, Congressman Salud Carbajal and Assemblymember Monique Limon were at the free event.

Community members registered to vote, asked questions about local initiatives and enjoyed tacos, activities for children and live music.

The event is an opportunity for Democratic voters in the Guadalupe community to speak with their representatives about what issues matter most to them.

"We want to make sure that everyone finds that their representatives are accessible and we're in the places where they live, play and hang out," said Alma Hernandez, the campaign coordinator for Supervisor Joan Hartmann.

Election Day is Tuesday, March 3rd.
