Northern San Luis Obispo County was hit by a hail storm Thursday afternoon.
The sudden downpour was causing problems along Highway 101, with multiple accidents reported in the area of San Ramon Road and Stockdale Road.

The California Highway Patrol and Caltrans were responding.
CHP was reporting ice sticking to the roadway.
Motorists are advised to take caution while traveling through the area.
