A head-on crash prompted the closure of Highway 154 near Painted Cave Road on Tuesday afternoon.
It happened shortly after 4 p.m.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the crash involved two vehicles, a Subaru and a Tesla. The driver of the Subaru reportedly suffered major injuries and the driver of the Tesla had moderate injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Fire officials say two dogs that were in the Tesla were uninjured and taken to an animal shelter.
As of 5:45 p.m., the California Highway Patrol reported that all lanes of the highway were open.
