High school graduation ceremonies scheduled in Paso Robles will now be proceeding in a "drive-in" fashion.

The decision came Tuesday night at an emergency meeting called by the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees after the district was informed by San Luis Obispo County that ceremonies at War Memorial Stadium in Paso Robles could not be held based on California's current directives.

Graduation ceremonies will now be held at the Mid-State Fairgrounds; ceremonies will occur at 6 p.m. on the evening of their original planning (with the exception of the Paso Robles High School ceremony on Wednesday at 8 p.m., which is now moved to Thursday at 6 p.m.)

One car per graduate will be allowed.

The school board is asking high school seniors and parents in Paso Robles to check their emails on Wednesday for final details.
