The National Weather Service released a warning of increased risk of fire danger for the Santa Barbara County Mountains and the South Coast from 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 until 9 a.m. Sept. 8.

Southern California Edison (SCE) also says Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) remain possible for western Goleta to Jalama until 6 p.m. Sept. 7 due to hot, dry and windy conditions.

Officials are advising people to stay alert to changing weather and to take action to avoid fire ignition.

For more information on Santa Barbara County customers affected by the possible PSPS, you can go to the SCE website.
