A project to resurface Highway 101 from south of Price Canyon Road in Pismo Beach to Monterey Street in San Luis Obispo is scheduled to begin Monday.

According to a spokesperson for Caltrans, drivers heading northbound can expect lane closures from 8 p.m. Sunday through 5:30 a.m. Monday. Drivers heading southbound can expect lane closures Sunday night through Friday morning from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Caltrans officials say ramp closures will also take place at various locations during the paving project, which will be announced when locations and times are certain.

Drivers can expect delays of no more than 10 minutes, said Caltrans.

Officials say the paving project is scheduled to be completed in October 2020.

This paving project includes a resurfacing of the highway in both directions, curb ramp reconstruction and striping to enhance travel on Highway 101, according to Caltrans officials.

The contractor for this $4.4 million project is Papich Construction of Arroyo Grande, said Caltrans.
