San Luis Obispo City firefighters rescued a person who suffered major injuries while hiking Bishop Peak Monday.
First responders were called to reports of a cliff rescue at around 8:50 a.m.
Fire officials say a hiker fell approximately 30 feet and suffered major injuries from the fall.
The patient was transported by helicopter to the the Sierra Vista trauma center.
