Another arts and crafts store is making plans to open in San Luis Obispo’s Madonna Plaza.
Community Development Director Michael Codron says Hobby Lobby’s first application was received by the city on Sept. 4 of last year.
A second plan review was completed last month and needs to be resubmitted.
The 48,362 square-foot store would be located next to REI in part of the former Forever 21 building.
Hobby Lobby has not returned KSBY’s request for comment on when the store may open.
As of now the closest Hobby Lobby is in Santa Maria.
