Hotel San Luis Obispo open its door to the community during the hotel's grand opening.

The newest Central Coast hotel, festively decorated, welcomed guests on Sunday with complimentary hot cider and holiday treats as they toured the property.

The hotel is located at 877 Palm St. in downtown San Luis Obispo.

People got a sneak peek at rooms, suites, event space, terrace as well as the Sol spa and art installations.

"I'm excited to be in San Luis Obispo," said David Smith, the general manager at Hotel SLO. "I'm really excited to get the hotel open and any and all are invited, so we'd love to see everybody here."

Visitors could also check out the hotel's restaurant, Ox + Anchor, a steakhouse by executive chef Ryan Fancher.

Attendees had the chance to win prizes like spa treatments, dinner for two, and a one-night staycation.

Hotel SLO features 78 guest rooms, two restaurants, three bars and a soon-to-be-opened rooftop bar.
