Highway 166 is closed from Maricopa in Kern County to the San Luis Obispo County line due to a developing sinkhole.
The sinkhole is developing south of Maricopa.
Caltrans says repairs will begin after this weekend’s anticipated storm system.
It is expected to take a week before the highway reopens.
