Old Spanish Days Fiesta

The Old Spanish Days Fiesta is back for its 103rd year! The beloved Santa Barbara tradition will take place at venues across Santa Barbara through Sunday, August 9. Performances in the Sunken Gardens, parades, Las Noches de Ronda, and so much more will make for an event you won't want to miss!

New Exhibit on Food Sovereignty at the San Luis Obispo History Center
Formal opening Friday, August 7, 5 p.m.; San Luis Obispo History Center
Discover food sovereignty as it is lived by the ytt at a new exhibit at the San Luis Obispo History Center. The new display opens on August 6, and on Friday, August 7, head to the History Center for the formal exhibit opening. At 5 p.m., a Chumash elder will speak about the exhibit and share perspectives on ongoing initiatives within the tribe to purchase an abalone farm in Cayucos.

Paso Robles Distillery Trail Weekend
August 7-9, Paso Robles
The annual Paso Robles Distillery Trail Weekend runs August 7-9, offering three days of tastings, tours, mixology demonstrations, live music, and food pairings at 12 boutique distilleries along the scenic Paso Robles Distillery Trail. Visitors can pick up a complimentary trail map at participating distilleries or the Paso Robles Visitor Center and explore at their own pace. Those who visit at least six distilleries and get their map stamped earn a free limited-edition shot glass.

Colors of Conservation Art Show
Friday, Aug. 7, 5-8 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 8, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Octagon Barn Center, 4400 Octagon Way, San Luis Obispo
On Friday and Saturday, The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County and SLOPE, San Luis Outdoor Painters for the Environment, will host “Colors of Conservation 2026,” an annual exhibit and sale of original landscape paintings and prints celebrating local open spaces, ranch lands, waterways and coastal areas. The event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Milking Parlor at the Octagon Barn in San Luis Obispo. A portion of the art sales will benefit The Land Conservancy.

Resonance Presents: All Things New: Music of Beginnings and Endings
Friday, Aug. 7 – Sunday, Aug. 9; Three locations across San Luis Obispo County
This weekend, the a cappella choral ensemble Resonance will present “All Things New: Music of Beginnings and Endings,” a concert exploring themes of innovation, rebirth, death, resurrection and hope through contemporary and classical choral works. There will be three concerts -- Friday, August 7, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paso Robles; Saturday, August 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church in San Luis Obispo; and Sunday, August 9, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Arroyo Grande. Tickets are $20 for students and $30 for the general public.

Bearcat Football Fundraiser Dinner & Auction

The Bearcat Football Fundraiser Dinner & Auction will support the Paso Robles High School football team on Saturday, August 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at BarrelHouse Brewing Co. The event includes a tri-tip dinner with sides served by Bearcat football players, plus dessert, silent and live auctions and prizes. General admission tickets are $65.

Dogs on the Lawn

Koehler Winery will host “Dogs on the Lawn,” a fundraiser for Santa Barbara Humane on Saturday, August 8, from noon to 5 p.m. The event features sips and bites for guests and their dogs, a dog-friendly lawn, and limited edition pet merchandise. 25% of the profits made during this event will be donated to Santa Barbara Humane.
Five Cities Repair Café
Saturday, Aug. 8, 1-4:30 p.m.; Oak Park Christian Church, 386 N. Oak Park Blvd., Grover Beach
The Five Cities Repair Café will offer free repair help for broken household items on Saturday, August 8, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Oak Park Christian Church in Grover Beach. Volunteers will help diagnose and fix items, including bikes, clothing, small appliances, electronics, computers, watches and outdoor gear, helping keep repairable items out of the landfill.

A-Town Pop Up
Sunday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Atascadero Lake Park
The monthly A-Town Pop Up will bring live music, local vendors and food to Atascadero Lake Park on Sunday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This month’s event includes Wandering Eats serving wraps, dill Mac and smoothies, along with vendors offering handmade jewelry, live plants, knit and crochet items, pottery, pet accessories and more.
