A person from Indiana is facing charges in connection with a child exploitation case on the Central Coast.

In September, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says deputies received a report that a minor in Los Osos was sent lewd images over an online gaming platform.

The San Luis Obispo County Counter Human Trafficking Team took over the investigation and according to the sheriff's office, identified Jordan Fields of Columbus, Indiana as the person responsible for sending the images.

With help from the FBI and the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office in Indiana, the 20-year-old was arrested in November on suspicion of child exploitation and possession of child pornography.

The sheriff's office says their investigation is ongoing while criminal proceedings are pending in Bartholomew County.
