An injured hiker was rescued from Bishop Peak in San Luis Obispo Monday morning.

San Luis Obispo City Fire Deputy Chief Michael Alforque says two engines, a UTV and two staff vehicles responded to the Felsman Loop area shortly after 9:15 a.m.

Alforque says one of two people hiking tripped and fell, possibly fracturing her ankle.

Crews were able to find the hiker and help get her off the mountain where she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

SLO City Fire wants to remind people about the importance of sharing their exact location when out hiking and needing assistance for the fastest response possible.
