John's Video Palace to close last location on the Central Coast

Posted at 7:45 PM, Mar 04, 2020

John's Video Palace will close its last location on the Central Coast in April.

The owner, John Taft, has been working at the store for over 30 years. His parents started the business and Taft took over ownership about 10 years ago.

John's Video Store had two location on the Central Coast. One in Atascadero, which closed in November of 2019, and the Paso Robles location.

When asked about the reason behind the closure, Taft says, "I want to try something new, I've been working this business for 30 years, no time for kids and family, I want a nine to five job."

Taft says he and his family will be moving out of state once the store closes.

John's Video Palace will have a blowout sale of movies starting now until its closure on April 11.

The store is located at 124 Niblick Road in Paso Robles.
