A weekend shooting is under investigation in Santa Maria.
Santa Maria police say they responded to the 400 block of East Orange Street after receiving calls around 7:26 p.m. Sunday of a shooting that had just taken place.
Police say they located evidence of a shooting in the area but did not find any victims.
However, a short time later, officers say they were notified that a juvenile with a gunshot wound had arrived at Marian Regional Medical Center.
At last check, the victim was said to be in critical condition.
