The United Way of Northern Santa Barbara County is partnering with KSBY, American General Media, Telemundo KTAS33 and Shotgun Marketing to support local restaurants while helping the homeless.
Through its "Grab, Give and Go" program, NSBC United Way will make a donation to the Home for Good COVID-19 Response Fund for every order made at a participating local restaurant.
Here is a list of the restaurants and their participation dates:
Bravo Pizza in Lompoc, April 13 - April 17
Pizzeria Bello Forno in Orcutt, April 20 - April 24
Panera Bread in Santa Maria, April 27 - May 1
For the duration of the Covid-19 crisis, NSBC United Way is pledging two action plans.
It will create "Community Distribution Plans" for homeless individuals that include ready-to-eat food, water, soap and first aid supplies.
It will also work with local hotels and motels to provide housing opportunities for homeless individuals.
