Today is the second--and biggest--day of Atascadero's 5th Annual Tamale Festival.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Downtown, festival goers can enjoy over 85 vendors; 30 of those will be tamale vendors. The others will provide things like obstacle courses, bungee jumps and bounce houses, according to the city's website.
The event will have live music and performances throughout the day.
And at 2 p.m. the "Best Tamale" winners will be announced. KSBY's own Megan Healy will be one of the judges on the panel.
There will even be a tamale eating contest. Deadline for entry is 3:15 p.m.
