A local artist is finding ways to keep children busy during the coronavirus pandemic.

Keshet Lavoux of Atascadero creates art kits for children and families so they can stay creative during stay-at-home orders.

Lavoux said each art kit comes with a papier-mâché house, colorful paints, glitter and themed decorations.

The hybrid homeschooling mother of two children said she enjoys providing creative outlets for children.

"I just love to see the kids send them back and they're very proud of their work," said Lavoux. "One of the kids said to me, 'You've been the highlight of this quarantine,' so that just fills my heart with so much joy."

Lavoux said she offers curbside pickup in Atascadero and weekly pickups at Sport Clips Haircuts in San Luis Obispo.

Community members who are interested in ordering an art kit for their children can visit Lavoux's website here or visit her Facebook page.
