A local special needs student had an experience of a lifetime when he led his school's band at Cal Poly's Performing Arts Center.

Finnegan Lewis is a seventh grader at the Los Osos Middle School.

Finnegan was the guest conductor in his schools performance at Cal Poly Wednesday night.

This was his first time conducting in a live performance.

"This is really kind of a big dream come true for this little guy, so we are really excited about this happening and so proud!", says Robert Lewis, Finnegan's father.

Robert goes on to say music has always been a big part of Finnegan's life.
