Local transportation company SLO Safe Ride is offering a new holiday lights cruise.
Guests can ride through San Luis Obispo for two hours in a sprinter van or limousine bus to see all the holiday lights in the city and county.
Owner Mike Linn says the company decided to decorate their vehicles and stock them for private parties after the latest covid-19 restrictions.
"We realized with the kind of shelter-in-place rules being a little more strict, people were going to be cooped up for the holidays and looking for ways to de-stress," said owner Mike Linn.
The cruises last two hours, and parties can range from one to eight people.
The cars include recliner seats, on-board WiFi, big screen TVs and your choice of wine or champagne.
SLO Safe Ride says its vehicles are cleaned and sanitized “rigorously” before and after each use.
“We recommend and encourage that people limit their exposure to people in their household or close social pod, so they do not create additional risk; however, there is no formal policy about this that SLO Safe Ride is enforcing. Our goal is to create holiday cheer without having large public gatherings by providing a smaller and safer alternative for our community,” SLO Safe Ride said in an email to KSBY.
