Local vendors showcased an array of crafts, products and skills at the first ever Cuyama Swap!
On Sunday, 15 vendors selling goods like western jewelry, artistic crafts and homemade cosmetics will be set up at the Blue Sky Center in New Cuyama.
The Blue Sky Center is a rural, place-based nonprofit organization with a mission to strengthen rural communities within the Cuyama Valley.
They hope to support Central Coast entrepreneurs and build regional, creative and economic resources.
La Cocina Cuyama, a mobile community commercial kitchen, will dish out fresh Mexican meals during the event.
The marketplace idea came from three women who attended the Spring 2019 Cuyama community strategic planning workshops. These women wanted to celebrate the abundance of local craftsmanship in the area.
