LOMPOC, Calif. — A record-breaking 264 members of the Lompoc community gathered for national "Make a Difference Day," the country's largest day of community service.
Service projects included debris removal, planting, weeding, minor repairs, painting, litter clean-up and more.
Community members participated either as individuals or in groups to rejuvenate and clean up the city.
Participants received a complimentary lunch.
The Lompoc Parks Division hosted the day of service.
