Electric utility customers with the City of Lompoc will receive a one-time $150 rebate for the month of June.
The rebate will devote $2.3 million from the electric greenhouse gas (GHG) allowance reserves. The reserves supplement part of a utility's cost for complying with state-imposed emission limits.
The $150 credit will be applied to the customer's utility bill. If customers do not use the entire rebate during the month of June, the remainder will roll over into each consecutive monthly bill until the whole amount is used.
If a utility customer with an unused balance cancels service with the City of Lompoc, the remainder of the credit will be returned to the GHG fund.
