The Lompoc Fire Department will begin accepting applications this week for its fireworks lottery.
Qualified, Lompoc-based nonprofits can be entered into the lottery to sell safe and sane fireworks.
Applications can be picked up at Fire Station 1 on South G Street.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 3.
Due to renovations at Lompoc High School's Huyck Stadium, the annual City of Lompoc fireworks show will not be taking place this year.
