Lompoc Police continue search for at-risk missing man

The Lompoc Police Department is still searching for a man who they say went missing after going out for a walk.

Police say 94 year old Donald Bishop left his home on Thursday around 1 p.m. and did not come home.

LPD began investigating his disappearance on Friday. Police say they used various resources and thoroughly checked locations frequented by Bishop for about 8 hours.

Police say they will continue to monitor the area where Bishop went missing. Surrounding law enforcement agencies have been notified.

Police say Bishop usually walks around his house on Laurel Ave., as well as River Park and Beattie Park.

Bishop is forgetful and has been known to fall down while on his walks, according to LPD.

He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark brown shoes, and a white shirt with red suspenders.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the Lompoc Police Department at (805) 736-2341.
