A body was found in the Santa Ynez riverbed Thursday afternoon, according to the Lompoc Police.
Police say reports of deceased body found at a transient campsite in the Santa Ynez riverbed came in at around 3 p.m., just west of the 'H' Street Bridge.
Officers along with firefighters responded and located the subject, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a press release, the person died of natural causes, and their identity has not been released.
The investigation has been turned over to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.
