UPDATE: Lompoc police on Wednesday said Jessica Starcher and her 9-year-old son had been found. Police say the 34-year-old came to the department with her son and said she was unaware they had been reported missing. Police say the two were checked out and are OK.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Lompoc Police Department is searching for a woman and her son who were reported missing on Saturday.
According to a news release from the police department, the family of 34-year-old Jessica Starcher and her son, nine-year-old Johan Huckestein, have not heard from them since Wednesday.
Police say Starcher does not own a vehicle and officers believe "a friend might have given them a ride out of town to an unknown location," according to the release.
Officers describe Starcher as a white female adult standing at 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. Huckestein is described as a white male juvenile who is 4 feet tall and about 70 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
