The Lucia Mar Unified School district served over 30 thousand meals to its students on Nov. 20.
According to the District, they fed 1,400 students at Arroyo Grande High School, Nipomo High School and Fairgrove Elementary School.
Families received Thanksgiving-themed meal kits, which included items like turkey, pumpkin bread and cranberry sauce.
"I think it's amazing that we're able to do our part to help out in these times of need," LMUSD Food Service Worker Samantha Wheeler said. "That we can provide food that families may need and we're there to bring the food that they need to eat."
The District's Food Services also offers free meals through its delivery routes.
