A man was arrested this week after San Luis Obispo City officials say he assaulted a City employee while trying to get into the mayor's office.

The incident happened at about 11 a.m. Monday at City Hall.

City Manager Derek Johnson says Lannen Bowers, 58, requested to meet with Mayor Heidi Harmon, but when told she wasn't there, he jumped over a counter and assaulted the employee.
