Man arrested for auto theft in Paso Robles, police say

Paso Robles police arrested a man in Paso Robles for auto theft, being under the influence of narcotics, resisting arrest and felony warrants.

According to a press release, officers located a stolen Nissan Altima Friday morning parked on the 300 block of Oak Street.

Further investigation revealed that 41 year old Ryan Dutra had parked the vehicle there and was inside of the home.

Officers say when they attempted to contact Dutra, he fled and was quickly taken into custody.

When officers located the keys to the vehicle, they found Dutra's belongings and paperwork with his name on it inside.

Officers say Dutra was also under the influence of narcotics.

Dutra was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for auto theft, being under the influence, resisting arrest and a felony warrant.
