The owner of a Lompoc-area restaurant says his business was broken into and money taken earlier this month.

It reportedly happened at about 3 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12. at Mr. Taco in the shopping center on the 3700 block of Constellation Road in Vandenberg Village.

The owner provided surveillance footage of the incident, which shows a man with a backpack, baseball hat and bandana covering his face, looking around and pulling out what appears to be a gun before entering the business, taking money from the register and leaving.

The owner says about $300 in cash was stolen and other similar break-ins have occurred at businesses in the area.

KSBY reached out to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office for additional information but has not yet heard back.
