A man injured in a crash Tuesday in Santa Maria recorded his own extrication, fire officials say.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of College and Cypress.
Firefighters say one of the drivers was complaining of back pain, so the decision was made to cut him out of the car so rescuers did not further injure him.
Firefighters say the man used some type of recording device to record the rescue.
Two people in the other car reportedly refused treatment.
No word on the cause of the crash.
