The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in downtown Santa Barbara on Monday has been identified as Intare Sanani, 21, of Newbury Park.
Police say Sanani apparently walked into traffic in the 600 block of East Cabrillo Street.
The driver of the van that struck Sanani remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Sanani was transported to the hospital where he later died.
