Mayors within the Five Cities area met Thursday to discuss the challenges they are facing within their particular cities.
Grover Beach Mayor Jeff Lee, Pismo Beach Mayor Ed Waage and Arroyo Grande Mayor Pro Tem Keith Storton met with civic leaders to discuss what the cities are working on to ensure a better future.
Some of the topics they discussed included infrastructure, parking and public safety.
The city leaders also discussed how they are working to address long terms goals of helping homelessness and impacts to the cities when it comes to climate change.
"We're all better together. We've got roads that interconnect. We've got water systems that that do have interconnections, and we've got the Five Cities Fire Authority with Arroyo Grande and Oceano, so we're always trying to find ways to work together. The communities are stronger and healthier when we work together," says Grover Beach Mayor Jeff Lee.
All city leaders say they are also working to address the high cost of living.
