Hundreds of people turned out Thursday for a memorial service for former San Luis Obispo County Supervisor and Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian.
Achadjian passed away last week at the age of 68.
The memorial was held at Mission San Luis Obispo.
Achadjian represented San Luis Obispo County for three terms on the California State Assembly.
He was well known and loved by many across the Central Coast for his dedication to the community and involvement in local business and politics.
Achadjian leaves behind a wife and two children.
His family said he passed away peacefully due to health complications.
In lieu of flowers, Achadjian's family has asked that donations be made "In Memory of Katcho" to the Senior Nutrition Program of SLO County, End Kids Cancer, or the Armenian Relief Society.
