A memorial service is planned this week for former San Luis Obispo County Supervisor and Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian.
Achadjian passed away last week at the age of 68.
A memorial will be held at Mission San Luis Obispo on Thursday, March 12, at 9:30 a.m.
His family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made "In Memory of Katcho" to the Senior Nutrition Program of SLO County, End Kids Cancer, or the Armenian Relief Society.
In a post on Facebook, Achadjian's daughter, Nyri, wrote, "We want to thank you all for your heartfelt messages, social media posts, and prayers as we mourn the loss of a remarkable husband, father, and public servant. The stories and memories that so many of you have shared over the last few days have provided my family with some comfort during this difficult time and act as a constant reminder of the lives he so beautifully touched."
