A local telecommunications company is expanding its service on the Central Coast.
Digital West is joining the Wave Broadband family. The merger, which was finalized on Friday, gives Digital West customers access to more communication resources that will benefit businesses, schools, government offices and residential buildings through the region.
All existing Digital West services will continue, and new services will be available.
Digital West CEO & Founder Tim Williams says, "They're encouraging us to continue to grow our fiber network. We got not only in the Central Coast here in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County, but we have other areas that we're focused on expanding into."
Wave Broadband currently serves Santa Maria, Lompoc and Solvang. With the addition of Digital West, they will expand into Northern Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County.
