A 3.6 magnitude earthquake rattled the far northwestern area of San Luis Obispo County on Thursday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake occurred at 6:41 a.m., about 14 miles northwest of San Simeon, just over the San Luis Obispo County line in Monterey County.
The USGS received reports of people feeling light shaking across the area.
