California State Parks is temporarily closing the Coon Creek parking lot and a public road in the Montaña de Oro State Park.
PG&E is performing construction from Nov. 16 until Dec. 11, according to California State Parks.
The closure extends from the the Oates-Valencia Peaks trailhead to the southern boundary or PG&E gate. Otherwise, all other roads and trails will remain open.
California State Parks says this project will provide an all-weather emergency access route between Avila Beach and the Park.
