The Morro Bay Fire Department partnered with the Latino Health Coalition to hold a health and resource fair for residents on Sunday.
Medical professionals were on hand to give out free flu shots to those who wanted the vaccination. Firefighters taught the basics of CPR with the help of the Bee Gees and helped residents learn about the importance of PulsePoint.

The fair also doubled as an open house for the fire department. Residents who attended the event could learn more about the operations at the station as well as receive a tour. Firefighters also gave out power shutoff information in the wake of the wildfires burning across the state.

The Morro Bay Fire Department puts this event on in order to bring closer access and availability to these resources right to the people they serve.

The Latino Health Coalition is a collection of non-profit health and service agencies designed to help provide health and education services to the people of Northern San Luis Obispo County.
