Detective Greg Gruich with the Morro Bay Police Department is celebrating his well-earned retirement.
Detective Gruich had his official sign off over the radio Friday morning as the department wished him well in his retirement.
Gruich started his 31-year career with the Tulare County Sheriff's Department in 1989 and served there until joining the Morro Bay Police Department in 2015.
Detective Gruich served in specialty operations including investigations, gang unit, swat, search and rescue dive team and crime labs.
Friday morning the department thanked Detective Gruich over the radio for his service and wished him the very best. After Gruich's final sign-off, he yells 'yay!, woohoo!'.
