UPDATE (7:32 p.m.) The California Highway Patrol says 57-year-old Diane Tessier of Granada Hills was driving her 1988 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 154 near the intersection of East Camino Cielo when for unknown reasons, she left the roadway, striking several objects.
She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The investigation is still on-going.

ORIGINAL STORY: Emergency crews are on scene of a fatal traffic collision on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a motorcyclist went off the cliff near Camino Cielo around 3 p.m and was pronounced dead on scene.
The rider crashed while driving eastbound on Highway 154 and then slid about 200 yards before falling off the roadway, officials said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers are coning off the eastbound right hand lane while crews continue to investigate.
Firefighters are working to clear vegetation around the area in order to extricate the body.
The motorcyclist's identity has not yet been released.
